Case study

HOCOMO Industries

Multi-division brand system

HOCOMO operates multiple business lines serving industrial, agricultural, and landscape markets throughout southern Missouri. Victor established the brand architecture, the messaging across those lines, and a positioning strategy built to hold as the company keeps expanding.

The situation

The company had outgrown its own brand structure.

HOCOMO expanded its offerings faster than its brand could keep up with. Several service lines sat under the HOCOMO umbrella, but there was limited clarity about how each one connected back to the organization.

That showed up as inconsistent messaging between the lines, difficulty explaining the full scope of services to customers and vendors, and limited differentiation in competitive local and regional markets. It also left business development without positioning it could use in a conversation, which made growth initiatives and cross-sell harder than they needed to be.

The company had a strong local reputation. Its external presence did not reflect the scale, capability, or vision behind it.

Multi-division brand system

Brand and market assessment

The engagement started with a full brand and market assessment to find where the organization was misaligned, where it could differentiate, and where the growth was.

Brand architecture

Victor developed a multi-brand identity system that set clear relationships between HOCOMO Industries and its individual business lines. It creates consistency across the organization while letting each division keep its own market relevance and its own audience.

Messaging and positioning

A messaging architecture defined the core company positioning, the brand values and market differentiation, and the division-specific messaging under it. That gave leadership one communication framework to use across sales conversations, marketing materials, websites, and whatever comes next.

Unified market presence

Victor aligned external communications across the organization so customers, vendors, and prospects encounter the same company regardless of which division they came in through.

Ongoing search and advertising

The communication framework became the foundation for a Google Ads search campaign, and Victor continues to lead HOCOMO's marketing strategy, SEO, and digital advertising across the company.

The results

HOCOMO operates on a clear and scalable brand structure. There is one identity system across the business lines, consistent messaging and positioning throughout the organization, and an external presence that reflects what the company can actually do.

With that foundation in place, the company is in a better position to communicate its value and keep building across its portfolio of services.

“Victor has been a strategic partner in helping HOCOMO establish and scale a strong brand presence across our brands, particularly Disposal and Landscape Supply. From day one, their team demonstrated a clear understanding of how to build cohesive branding while still allowing each business line to stand on its own.”
